Waterpark uses 2G, the market leader for optimal efficiency

Since 2011 the Monte Mare Waterpark in Kaiserslautern has been proudly using a natural gas operated 2G CHP. After a three month building phase, the Agenitor 306 with a capacity of 250 kW electrical and 290 kW of thermal energy, begun operation in December 2011.

At Monte Mare guests enjoy a huge aquatic fun park, along with a well-constructed sauna area and a choice of wellness packages. This park is the pride of Kaiserslautern. Just as important as the spa experience is the ecological sustainability of the facility. For this reason, Monte Mare decided on the highly efficient 2G module. Hypothetically, the new Agenitor 306 plant could supply 450 households with power and 300 houses with heat. So the fun park has a very powerful plant indeed. The amount of CO2 emissions saved at the Kaiserslautern facility equals the amount emitted by an average of 400 homes per year.
