KAWANA SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT

The Kawana Sewage Treatment Plant, significantly expanded by Unitywater, now caters to 200,000 people, showcasing a commitment to eco-efficient wastewater management. Integral to this project are the new anaerobic digester for methane production and a 330kW Cogeneration System, collectively enhancing operational efficiency and sustainability.

The Kawana Sewage Treatment Plant project, executed in collaboration with Unitywater, represents a significant advancement in sustainable wastewater management. This project involved the expansion of the plant's capacity to effectively serve an increased population, rising from 90,000 to 200,000 people. Central to this upgrade is the implementation of a 330kW Cogeneration System, which plays a crucial role in energy-efficient operations. Additionally, the project includes a comprehensive biogas treatment and management system, featuring advanced dehumidification and biogas processing technologies. These installations not only enhance the plant's operational efficiency but also contribute significantly to reducing its environmental footprint. The successful completion of this project results in lowered operational costs and a reduced dependency on conventional electricity, aligning with broader goals of sustainability and eco-friendly waste management.
