Cardinia Life Aquatic Centre, located in Pakenham Victoria, received a 2G Patruus 140kW Natural Gas cogeneration unit which allows the centre to generate electricity and heat to power the Aquatic Centre, as well as heating their pools and air. Evo ET's technology saves the council significantly on operational costs and greatly reduces their environmental footprint.
Cardinia Life is the premier health and recreational facility in the Cardinia district of Victoria. The facility was also responsible for a large portion of the district's greenhouse gas emissions. To mitigate against this, the Cardinia Shire Council engaged Evo Energy Technologies to provision a cogeneration plant and to upgrade their facilities for maximum energy efficiency and cost savings.
In 2017, the leisure centre was responsible for 24% of the Council's operational carbon emissions and 1684 tonnes of carbon dioxide. The cogeneration unit has provided significant yearly savings in energy costs and associated reductions of greenhouse gas emissions for the council!
The 2G Patruus Natural Gas unit replaced an older unit to provide better, more efficient and effective service. EvoET's cogeneration solution has seen the council save massively on their energy costs, and by reducing the operational cost of the facility, the Council reduces costs to ratepayers while also significantly reducing the centre's carbon emissions.
