Evo Energy Technologies proudly collaborated with Latrobe City Council on the Hyland Highway Landfill project, an exemplary initiative in sustainable energy. This project is distinguished by its groundbreaking achievement: generating approximately 7000MWh of clean energy annually from landfill waste, which significantly contributes to reducing environmental impact and advancing clean energy initiatives.
The Hyland Highway Landfill project highlights Evo Energy Technologies' expertise in the field of sustainable energy. The project involved implementing advanced technologies, including a Biogas Generator and specialised biogas treatment systems, to efficiently convert landfill waste into renewable energy. This initiative not only reduced the landfill's reliance on traditional energy sources but also contributed to substantial financial savings for Latrobe City Council.
The recognition of this project as a finalist in the Premier's Sustainability Awards is a testament to our commitment to sustainability and innovation. The Hyland Highway Landfill project serves as a benchmark in the waste-to-energy sector, demonstrating our ability to develop and execute projects that deliver both environmental and economic benefits.
This project exemplifies Evo Energy Technologies' dedication to pioneering sustainable and cost-effective energy solutions, reinforcing our role as a leader in the transition towards a more sustainable future.
We have received requests from private consultancies, State departments and other councils to visit our Hyland Highway Landfill Gas Project, to witness what can be achieved and learned from the project.
The Gas Project will generate clean, low emission energy though utilising captured landfill gas, offsetting over 80 percent of Council’s electricity needs.
Harnessing gas and converting it to energy has the added benefit of providing a new localised energy source that can be placed back into the electricity grid."
