Evo Energy Technologies has been awarded the contract to design and supply a high-efficiency co-generation system for the Selfs Point Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). Working alongside CPB Contractors and UGL as part of their joint venture, this project will enhance energy efficiency and sustainability at the wastewater treatment plant through advanced combined heat and power (CHP) technology.
The Selfs Point STP Co-Generation System is a critical upgrade aimed at improving energy recovery and operational efficiency within the wastewater treatment process. Evo Energy Technologies is supplying a 400kWe Agenitor 408B CHP system, housed in a prefabricated container for seamless integration into the existing infrastructure.
A key component of this project is the advanced gas treatment system, featuring two 3,000-litre units (300m³) to optimize biogas quality and ensure stable CHP operation. By utilizing biogas produced on-site, the system will generate electricity and thermal energy, reducing reliance on external power sources and lowering operational costs.
With engineering already in progress, this project is set to deliver long-term environmental and economic benefits by harnessing renewable energy sources and enhancing overall plant efficiency. Evo Energy Technologies is proud to contribute its expertise in co-generation solutions to support a more sustainable future for wastewater treatment.
