Dreamworld’s sister park, White Water World is one of the largest theme parks on the Gold Coast, catering to hundreds of thousands of guests every year.
The park’s vast attractions include over 30 slides, water-rides and pools which require heating to keep patrons happily swimming year-round.
Evo Energy Technologies were contracted to design a water heating solution that would ensure reliable temperature control, as well as reduce emissions and energy costs when compared to the previous method of heating.
In total, a whopping 19 EvoHeat CS200-GEN2 commercial heat pumps were installed to meet the huge heating requirements of the theme park. Well renowned for their high efficiency and premium performance across a broad range of commercial heating applications, the EvoHeat CS-GEN2 heat pumps will deliver in performance and cost savings.
This massive water heating redesign took over three months to install and involved the collaboration of various trades including hydraulic engineers, plumbers, electricians, BMS/Controls specialists, civil works contractors, laborers, gas technicians and design draftsman.
WhiteWater World patrons weren’t the only ones to benefit from the water heating upgrade, with upgrades also taking place to the existing heating at Dreamworld’s Tiger Island and crocodile pools. An EvoHeat CS57 heat pump was installed and set to keep the tiger pools at a comfortable 28 degree temperature for the 12 big cats.
EvoET’s unparalleled energy efficient solution provides up to 3,610kW heating capacity, and has reduced the park’s water heating costs by over 70%, as well as reduced their carbon emissions by over 30%! Both management and patrons will continue to reap the benefits of this upgrade for many years to come.
