Evo Energy Technologies is launching a project at Woodman Point Wastewater Recovery and Reuse Facility (WRRF), Western Australia's largest treatment plant. The project aims to upgrade sludge treatment for increased efficiency and capacity. Evo Energy will supply and integrate advanced energy recovery equipment, including thermal hydrolysis pre-treatment (THP) with anaerobic digestion processes, for a fully optimised energy recovery solution.
The upcoming project at Woodman Point WRRF will significantly upgrade the sludge treatment process to address the need for increased capacity and infrastructure improvements. Evo Energy Technologies will supply and integrate cutting-edge equipment, including three 2G Avus 1500b 1.5MWe units with steam boiler equipment, biogas blower packages, a C-Nox biogas flare, Sattler double membrane biogas holders, and an advanced gas treatment package. This equipment will be assembled into a proprietary CHP container designed for outdoor operation and pre-tested in Germany, minimizing on-site risks and installation time. The CHP container will include all necessary internal components for immediate operation upon delivery, with external components shipped separately for on-site assembly.
Additionally, the project will feature upgraded control and monitoring systems inspired by successful implementations at Southern Meats in Goulburn and Kilcoy Meats. This includes the integration of Siemens HMI, biogas blowers, and flowmeters, ensuring precise and efficient operation. A critical part of the project is the TS Biological Desulphurisation system, offering an environmentally friendly and cost-effective alternative to traditional chemical scrubbers, aligning with Evo Energy Technologies' commitment to sustainable and efficient energy solutions.
The Woodman Point WRRF upgrade is poised to significantly enhance the operational efficiency and environmental sustainability of the facility. This project sets a new benchmark in wastewater treatment and energy recovery, demonstrating the potential of advanced technologies to transform infrastructure and reduce environmental impact.
