EvoET are Getting Hairy & Healthy During November!

2 November, 2022 by Evo Energy

This November, The Evo Group are getting hairy and healthy, all for a great cause. During the hairiest month of the year, EvoET team members are showing their support for Movember by growing a mo or moving 60km over the month, in recognition for the 60 men lost to suicide every hour globally.

“Our legend-hairy Evo team are rallying together to support Movember, to help raise awareness, get people talking and raise much needed funds for men’s health projects. It’s an incredible organisation. We all have fathers, brother, friends, and work colleges that could be affected by men’s health” says Tim Martin, General Manger.

Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health on a global scale, focusing on mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

Since 2003, Movember has funded more than 1,250 men’s health projects around the world, challenging the status quo, shaking up men’s health research and transforming the way health services reach and support men. For more information about Movember their website or to donate to the Evo Group Movember team.

EvoET at Waste Expo 2022

26 October, 2022 by Evo Energy

For the first time in 3 years, Waste Expo, the country’s largest gathering of waste management and resource recovery professionals, opened its doors once again!

Taking place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, this year’s event opens a world of opportunities for industry suppliers and experts, and those looking to learn how we can transform the way we use materials, ensure effective recovery and reduce waste sent to landfills.

As Evo Energy’s last expo of the year, we decided to go out with a bang! On display at our stand is the g-box 50, one of one of 2G’s range of European cogeneration equipment.

This exhibition has been a fantastic opportunity to discuss our waste-to-energy solutions that are helping our clients reduce both their energy costs and environmental impact with superior technology for improved energy efficiency.

New Award: Bairnsdale WWTP

26 September, 2022 by Evo Energy

Evo Energy Technologies is currently working with East Gippsland Water, replacing their existing generator and heat pumps on site with a 2G 80kW Combined Heat and Power (CHP) solution which will supply almost all of the plant’s electrical usage with the capacity to export a large amount of electricity to the grid as well as to provide the thermal requirements of the digesters on site.

In 2018 East Gippsland Water committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2050, and another accelerated goal of being powered 100% by renewable energy by 2025.

EvoET’s CHP solution, once operational is expected to offset the entirety of the site’s electrical use (around 206MWh), with the possibility of exporting 345MWh of electricity back to the grid, and meet 100% of the site’s thermal requirements.

East Gippsland Water are leading the way to a sustainable future and are well on their way to reaching their goal of zero emissions by powering their BWTP off renewable energy.

For more information on the project, view our project page here.
